Special programs to be held across district on national voters day

Dharamshala: ADM Kangra Mast Ram Bhardwaj informed that the district level function of National Voters’ Day will be held on January 25, 2020, at the Zilla Parishad Hall in Dharamshala, to commemorate the foundation day of the Election Commission of India.
The ADM on January 9 was speaking on Friday while presiding over a meeting called to organize National Voters' Day. He told that this ceremony will start from 10 am to 1.30 pm.
He said that special programs will be organized across the district on 25 January on the occasion of National Voters' Day. On this occasion, voter awareness programs will be conducted at the district, subdivision and booth level and newly registered voters between 18 and 19 years of age will be honoured by distributing voter ID cards.
He informed that on this occasion, voters will be administered an oath to exercise their franchise properly. Newly registered voters of Municipal Corporation Dharamshala, booth level officers and participants of educational institutions of the area have been invited to the district level function. Awareness programs will be presented on this occasion by children of various educational institutions and artists of Information and Public Relations Department.
On this occasion, officers of various departments including Tehsildar Election Upendra Shukla were present.
