Fazlika/Chandigarh, December 10, 2012: Fazilka, the border district of Punjab would soon be illuminated at international sports map with the establishment of world class sports infrastructure for different games.
This was disclosed by Punjab deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal while delivering a lecture during a match of World Cup Kabaddi 2012 at MR Government College Stadium at Fazilka on Sunday.
Badal also announced that the next match of World Cup Kabaddi, next year would be played under newly built ultra modern multipurpose stadium. He said that, “the people of Fazilka indebted me with their love and affection bestowed upon SAD.” He said that the government would soon draft a blue print for the promotion of different games in this border district.
Badal said that the more than 40 thousand people in this stadium is the evidence of their love for games. He said that the Punjab Government is striving to keep these games totally drug free that is why the motto of this World Cup Kabaddi has been chosen as ‘Yes to Kabaddi, No to Drug.’
