Ludhiana: Department of Community Health Nursing of DMCH, College of Nursing, Malakpur Ludhiana in collaboration with N-SPHERE has organized a Webinar on “Facts and Impact of COVID-19” on 16th July 2020.
Webinar started with the Inauguration ceremony. Shri Prem Kumar Gupta, Secretary, DMCH, Managing society, Dr.Samta Soni, President SPHERE, Dr.Sushma K Saini, Secretary SPHERE, Dr.Shama Lohumi, Principal, Shivalik institute of Nursing, Shimla, Dr.(Mrs.)Triza Jiwan, Principal, Prof. Mrs. Nidhi Sagar, Vice-Principal, Mrs. Sandeep Kaur, Professor, were welcomed by Mrs. Amninder Kaur, Assistant Professor. Mrs. Harjot Kaur, Nursing Tutor and Mrs Rinky Masih, Senior Nursing Tutor invited all for Lamp Lighting ceremony. Words of wisdom delivered by the Principal.
Overview about the facts and impact of Covid-19 was given by Dr.Shama Lohumi, followed by sessions on Psychological impact of Covid-19 and lockdown on general population by Dr. Manpreet Kaur, Vice-Principal, CON, SGRD, Prevention and promotion of health by Dr. Hardeep Kaur, Professor, UCON, Social stigma and Covid-19 by Mrs. Meenakshi, Associate Professor, CON, DMCH. Sessions were chaired by Mrs. Sandeep Kaur, Dr.Sushma K Saini and Dr.Samta Soni. 150nursing professionals attended the webinar. Questions raised were answered by the experts. Vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Rinky Masih (Senior Nursing Tutor)
