Jalandhar: The webinar was organized by the Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust to overcome the increasing physical illness and mental stress among children during the pandemic, the theme of which was "Mindfulness and Well-Being in the New Normal". Nutritionist and Life Coach from Ludhiana Anvita Chatwal, Dr Nupur Sood, MBBS MD Pediatrics from Jalandhar, Innocent Hearts Multispecialty Hospital, and renowned psychologist and master trainer Ms Himani Singh Mittal were invited as speakers.
The role of moderator was played by Sharmila Nakra, Cultural Head, Motivational Speaker, Holistic Healer from Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions. Invited speakers cleared the doubts going on in the minds of the parents for the children at present. Dr Nupur Sood told that nowadays parents are worried about hyper activities of children, obesity and how to increase the immunity of the children and how to save the children from the third wave of the pandemic.
Dietician Anvita Chatwal explained to the parents that to a large extent, the diet of children affects mental and physical changes. They need to include some food items in their daily diet. Psychologist Himani Mittal said that to reduce the mental stress of children, to increase their immunity and for the changes coming in their nature, we all have to work together. Parents should maintain balance in food as well as keep the environment pleasant and positive. Make sure to spend time with the children, only then the all-around development of children will be possible.
