Jalandhar, January 24, 2022: To raise awareness about the rights of the girl child, Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust organized a webinar under Disha - An initiative at Innocent Hearts on the occasion of National Girl Child Day. The resource person for the webinar was Dr. Sheenu Nayyar (Motivational Speaker, JPS Institute of Technical and Vocational Training).
The speaker started her session with the need of gender equality for a healthier Indian society. Dr. Sheenu shared some tips to raise a girl to be strong, independent and capable women. She stated the every parent should focus on providing proper education and healthy living environment to their girl child. She enlightened the audience with various the government schemes available to empower the girls like “Beti Bachao Beti Pdhao”, “Sukanya Samriddhi Yojna”, “CBSE Udaan Scheme”, and “Dhanlaxmi scheme” which helps the families of below poverty line to nourish their child properly.
Dr. Shailesh Tripathi (Group Director) presented a vote of thanks to Dr. Sheenu Nayyar for sharing her valuable views and motivating the girl students for their bright future.
