WEBINAR ON STRESS MANAGEMENT
ORGANISED BY GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL CELL AND DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY OF LYALLPUR KHALSA COLLEGE
Jalandhar: Addressing the issues of stress and other related ailments in the current scenario of the nationwide lockdown, a webinar on Stress Management was conducted by the Grievance Redressal Cell and Department of Psychology of Lyallpur Khalsa College. Under the aegis of Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra the webinar saw an active participation of over 100 students and faculty members of the college. Prof. Gagandeep Kaur, Coordinator of the Webinar, welcomed Principal Dr Samra and discussed the purpose behind the program. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr Gurpinder Singh Samra informed that the program was aimed at providing a dose of relief to members of faculty and students from the ongoing worldwide Covid-19 crisis. Dr Samra also appealed to the staff and students alike to take full precautions regarding the safety measures as prescribed by the government and health department for a greater welfare of the nation whilst encouraging the students to continue their studies and learning endeavors via online mediums. Prof. Shefali Taneja, Department of Psychology highlighted proper diet, meditation, exercise and adequate sleep hours as imperative steps to avoid stress in the current climate.
Porf. Jasreen Kaur Dean Academic Affairs presented the vote of thanks to conclude the proceedings. The webinar was also attended by the HODs, senior faculty members and students of the college.
