Jalandhar, May 11, 2022: PG Department of Economics, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar in collaboration with CSRBox team organised a webinar to aware students about the increasing number and causes behind the road accidents. 150 students from Economics and Commerce Department actively participated and pledged to adhere to safety measures and shun rash driving. It was an interactive session in which participants also share their real life experiences.
The Chief speaker of the session, Nisha Singh apprised the students about the fatality and prevention of road accidents. A quiz was also organised for students to make the session more lively and interesting. PG department of Economics is regularly engaged in creating awareness among students about such type of sensitive issues and recently it has signed a MOU with CSRBox team for cognizance among students about road accidents and anticipated safety measures.
Dr. G.S. Samra, Principal, Lyallpur Khalsa College lauded the sincere efforts of Economics Department in this direction. Prof. Navdeep Kaur, Head Economics Dept. presented a vote of thanks. Prof. S.S. Bains, Prof. Sarbjit Kaur and Prof. Manpreet Kaur were among the organizers. Prof. Rashpal Singh Sandhu, Head, Commerce Department and other faculty members were also present.
