Chandigarh, February 11, 2025: University Institute of Applied Management Sciences (UIAMS), Panjab University, Chandigarh organised a week long activities including Business Day, industrial visit and expert talks.
The week started with Business Day which was graced by Colonel Anshul Sharma as Chief Guest. The aim of the programme was to give students an exposure of market dynamics. The Chief Guest said that learning does not remain confined to class-rooms but there should be an exposure of practicality. Such events provide exposure and nurture the entrepreneurial intention of students.
The Director UIAMS Prof. Monika Aggarwal said that this event is planned to help the students to understand the venture funding dynamics of deals between investor and entrepreneurs. The event had many mock dealing wherein the entrepreneur presented unique ideas to the investors and dived deeper into knowledge of equity retention and investment. They had an exposure of multiple scenarios and how to manage and raise finances.
Dr. Manu Sharma, the event coordinator said a lot of efforts, brain storming and planning was done for the ideas that were presented by the students. Lakshay, Mahaveer and Samriti Jamwal said in order to make event more engaging, many interesting event activities were organised where other students got an opportunity to earn and lend money using mock banking game. The event was much appreciated by all budding manager and entrepreneurs.
The students of MBA (Retail Management) went to The Collective Elante Mall to have an interactive and engrossing session. They got a chance to understand product and brand management, financial, product pricing and positioning. The event was coordinated by Dr. Rini Singh.
