Weeklong awareness drive against covid concludes

Ludhiana: In its initiative to make people aware about taking proper precautions to remain safe from COVID, DMCH conducted a week long ‘Awareness Drive against COVID’ in different areas of the city.

The Day 1 began with the release of ‘Awareness pamphlets’ by medical administrators of DMCH and HDHI, emphasizing them to wear masks properly and keep required social distancing. In his address, Dr Bishav Mohan, Medical Supdt. (HDHI) stated that the people of the city should not remain on low alert in taking proper precautions against COVID.

The week long ‘Awareness Drive’ witnessed area wise distribution of face masks and pamphlets in areas including Udham Singh Nagar Market, Civil Lines, Pakhowal Road, Durga Mata Mandir (Jagraon Bridge), Peer Sunet Shah Wali Dargah (on last Thursday), Kitchlu Nagar Market and area surrounding Dhandi Swami Mandir.

A team of doctors who participated in this ‘Awareness Drive’ include Dr Sarit Sharma, Dr Hitant Vohra, Dr Seema Gupta, Dr Kirandeep Kaur and Dr Sonia Singh.

The various health related queries of people were also answered by the doctors and people acknowledge their selfless contribution in making them aware about taking proper precautions in fight against COVID.
