What Is the Latest in the Gaming and Sports World?

Need a break from the workday? A crazy list of errands wearing you out? It's time for you to have some time for yourself, and some of the best ways to decompress can be turning on your video game console or just catching up on some of your favorite sports teams. Let's take a look at what's going on in the world of gaming and what's going on in the NFL as the regular season winds down.
Developments in Gaming
The PS5, XBox Series X, and other gaming consoles are expanding their horizons when it comes to competitive gaming. Halo Infinite and GTA San Andreas remain at the top of the market when it comes to teammate gaming. However, with the holiday season approaching, gaming retailers and manufacturers are putting an emphasis on getting their customers the best equipment for extended sessions online or remotely.
If you're looking for the best gaming headphones, be sure to explore the Bluetooth capabilities of wireless headsets. While a good headset can provide clear communication and immediate reaction time, you also want a headset that is a comfortable fit to get you through as lengthy of a gaming session as you want. You'll also want to invest in a microphone that allows you to properly convey messages during team sessions and talk the occasional trash.
The Super Bowl Champs
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers righted the ship last season, scoring their second Super Bowl win in franchise history over the Kansas City Chiefs in front of the hometown fans at Raymond James Stadium. That was thanks in part to the acquisition of three-time NFL Most Valuable Player Tom Brady. Brady's decorated career and experience as quarterback helped Tampa Bay lure in stars from across the NFL, including Pro Bowl receiver Antonio Brown and the formerly retired Rob Gronkowski. The Bucs ended up making history, entering the 2021 season as the first Super Bowl champion squad to return all 22 starters on offense and defense to the lineup the following season.
As we look at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers remaining schedule for this year, the goal remains to score a second straight NFC South title and Super Bowl win. Currently, atop the division, the Bucs will be going up against the New York Giants, one of only two teams to ever defeat Tom Brady in a Super Bowl when he was quarterback for the New England Patriots. The Bucs also face forthcoming division rivalry games against the New Orleans Saints, Carolina Panthers, and Atlanta Falcons in their pursuit for the top seed in the NFC and a try for the Wild Card Round.
Gaming and Esports
Esports has been growing annually as more sports fans are taking a new approach to gameplay away from just turning on football on Sunday. The NFL is getting in on gaming by expanding its presence of Madden 22 tournaments across the United States. The Pro Football Hall of Fame has teamed up with Extreme Networks with a national Madden tournament that is currently midway through the regular season, with the playoffs set to get started on December 10.
The three-week postseason tournament will culminate in a championship showdown held in conjunction with Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles in February. Top prizes for participants include tickets to the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2022’s Enshrinement and the 2022 Hall of Fame Game in Canton; admission tickets to the Pro Football Hall of Fame; and an appearance by a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame at the school of the winner. It's part of the NFL's long-term investment in esports that other professional leagues are making as well.
