When Forgotten Love Meets Fiery Passion: Experience Vivek Dahiya and Gulki Joshi’s exceptional chemistry in Hasratein S2

Hungama OTT, one of the leading digital entertainment platforms, is set to premiere its highly anticipated anthology drama Hasratein S2 with its first two episodes airing on 17th April 2025. The show’s second episode - Aankh Micholi follows Neha, a young woman trapped in a cold, loveless marriage with her emotionally and physically absent husband, Manoj. Her life begins to shift when Raj, her former college best friend, returns unexpectedly. In this emotionally layered season, Vivek Dahiya and Gulki Joshi deliver powerful, nuanced performances that explore love, longing, and liberation. Their on-screen synergy brings depth and honesty to a story that is as subtle as it is stirring. Vivek Dahiya essays the role of Raj, a calm and composed man who once had strong feelings for Neha but never expressed them. As Neha, Gulki Joshi brings to life a character whose strength lies in her silence and unwavering endurance
Reflecting on his role as Raj, Vivek shares, “Raj is someone who carries a quiet ache. He had loved Neha deeply in the past but never said it out loud. Raj’s character is layered, he’s not just a man from Neha’s past but someone who sees her pain without judgment. Playing him meant navigating emotions that aren’t loud but run deep. It felt like portraying a man who’s healing and hurting at the same time.”
He also adds his experience working with others, “The energy on set was incredibly honest and collaborative. Gulki and I had some very emotionally charged scenes, and she brought such rawness and sincerity to Neha that made every moment feel real. Vinit, who played Manoj, brought great intensity to his role, which added so much depth to the dynamics between us. It felt like we were all working toward telling something meaningful, not just performing lines. That kind of synergy is rare and really special.”
Gulki Joshi, who plays Neha, shares her emotional journey through the character, “Neha is a woman who speaks through silence and strength. She doesn’t break, she absorbs, she endures, and in that stillness, she survives. Neha was unlike any character I’ve played before. Stepping into her world was both deeply moving and empowering to me. What made it truly meaningful was how real her journey felt, it’s the kind of story that lives in the hearts of so many women.”
She also continues, “Working with Vivek was wonderful experience. Raj and Neha’s dynamic is built on unsaid things, and Vivek played that subtlety so well. Also, Vinit, like Manoj, brought such authenticity to the role, it made our on-screen tension feel very real. As a team it always felt like we were telling a story that mattered, not just playing parts. I believe audience will love that”.
