Bathinda, September 28, 2021: Dedicated to art and theater, the Natyam team of Bathinda is taking forward its legacy and organizing a drama festival at Balwant Gargi Open Air Theater in Rose Garden, Bathinda from the evening of 30th September. Sharing this information, Kirti Kripal, director of Natyam Bathinda said that celebrating its 10th anniversary, this time Natyam is hosting a mega festival of 15 days. He also shared that North Zone Cultural Center Patiala, Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Academy, Haryana Kla Parishad, and Sangeet Natak Akademi Punjab have given their valuable contribution in organizing this 15-day theater festival.
Inviting the city people to the drama fair, Sudarshan Gupta, president of Natyam, and Designer Gurnoor Singh informed that, the theater festival will start on 30th September at 7.30 pm with the play 'Lok Mana Da Raja' based on Maharaja Ranjit Singh and will come to completion on 14th October with the play Main Bhagat Singh.
Present on the occasion, Dr. Amrita Gill and Dr. Pooja gupta shared that during this theater fair, a team coming from Jammu and Kashmir will present a play based on the poems of Amrita Pritam, while the teams from Telangana and Rajasthan will also present plays, hitting hard various serious issues, history, freedom struggle and the status of women.
