Khanna, May 3, 2015: A woman was allegedly molested by a person in a private bus near Khanna following which Khanna Police have registered a case under the relevant sections.
Police have arrested driver and conductor of the bus. However, the main accused has managed to flee.
As per information, bus of a private Company was on its journey towards Ludhiana from Fatehgarh Sahib. When the bus started from Bus Stand Mandi Gobindgarh a co-passenger allegedly started manhandling and molesting a woman passenger.
When the bus reached near Khanna the driver and conductor slowed down the bus and the alleged accused escaped from the scene. In the mean time the woman raised hue and cry and she informed the police on control room and the bus was stopped by a police party on information near Biza.
Police have impounded the bus and arrested the driver and conductor of the bus.
DSP Khanna Harjinder Singh when contacted confirmed the incident. He said the alleged accused was around 26. He added police would got prepare a sketch of the alleged accused to identify him as soon as possible.
