Women’s Senior One Day Trophy 2021-22: Punjab qualifies for Semi-Final after beating Maha by 5 wickets at Bangalore
Chandigarh / Mohali, November 15, 2021: Punjab State Women’s Senior One Day Team had played their Quarter-Final Inter-State match for Women’s Senior One Day Trophy 2021-22 against Maharashtra Cricket Association at Alur Cricket Stadium II, Bangalore.
Punjab won the toss and elected to field first. Batting first Maharashtra Women’s were able to score 120 runs for loss of 9 wickets in 33 overs. M.R Marge scored 38 runs off 63 balls with three boundaries and was the main run-getter for Maharasthra. Kanika Ahuja took 5 wickets for 23 runs and Neelam Bisht took 2 wickets for 19 runs were the most successful wicket-takers for Punjab CA.
Replying Punjab women’s team achieved the target and scored 122 runs for loss of 5 wickets in 29.3 overs. Skipper Tanya Bhatia scored unbeaten 39 runs off 51 balls with four boundaries and Neelam Bisht unbeaten scored 36 runs off 39 balls with six boundaries were the main run-getters for Punjab. P.B Garkhede took 2 wickets for 15 runs and was the most successful wicket-taker for Maharasthra.
Punjab will play the Semi Final on 18 November 2021, 09:00 IST, Alur Cricket Stadium, Bangalore
