Working again with Sony SAB is like a homecoming to me: Vinay Rohrra aka Madhav from Sony SAB’s Kaatelal & Sons

How does it feel to be back on Sony SAB?

I have already done my previous two shows with Sony SAB and the association has always been fun and exciting. Working again with Sony SAB is like a homecoming, and nothing can be more wonderful than this feeling.

What made you accept the show Kaatelal & Sons?

I have never got an opportunity to be a part of any women-centric show, and being associated with Kaatelal & Sons is genuinely a great feeling. It’s exciting to be associated with a show that has a special place for its different characters. This show is different with a unique storyline that focuses on the fact this brilliant thought – ‘Dreams know no gender’ through two sisters running a salon.

Please share something about your character, Madhav.

My character, Madhav has returned from one of the foreign countries, and I have taken inspiration for this role from one of my friends. There are various nuances of Madhav that I have interpreted and incorporated on my own, especially his foreign accent. Also, since my character Madhav is an extrovert , it was easy for me to get into the skin of this character.

Any special preparations you did for your role in show?

It was a very last-minute decision for me to accept this show, so most of the preparations happened in between the shots. I am thankful to all the makers, creatives, etc. on the sets who made me learn the little nuances of a foreign return boy and gradually guided me to adjust in the skin of my character, Madhav.

The show Kaatelal & Sons has an inspirational storyline with an underlying message. What are your views on this?

The tagline of the show Kaam Aur Sapnon Ka Koi Gender Nahi Hota is inspiring. The show is youth-centric and focuses on the dreams that girls too have. The storyline has an underlying message and connects it to the small city girls, who must take a stand for themselves if they want to pursue their dream, even against their family, to make them understand the importance of the passion in their lives.

How is your rapport with Megha Chakraborty and Jiya Shankar?

Megha and I share a cordial relationship and in these few days, I have noticed that she is a very hardworking girl. She is very dedicated to her work and tries to give her perfect shot in every scene.

Talking about the rapport that I share with Jiya is different, she always keeps on teasing and mimicking me in front of everyone. She never misses a chance to pull my leg and we always have loads of fun together on the sets.

How has your experience been shooting with the cast and crew?

It has been a pleasure shooting for this show with the cast & crew. Everyone on the sets have been very welcoming from the day one of our shoot. Even though I was a new entry, it took me hardly few days to warm up and gel up with everyone.

Any message for your fans/viewers?

I want to request all my fans to keep loving and showering us with loads of love, because it motivates us to do better every day. I will try to give my level best to bring this character of Madhav to life and hope the audience keep enjoying everyday twists and turns in the upcoming episodes of the show.
