Jalandhar, December 14, 2018: GNA University organized a Workshop on “21C Teaching Skills” for all the CBSE school teachers at GNA University under the benign presence of versatile resource person Ms.Vegha Sharma- an educational Consultant with CBSE schools under capacity building, life skills, classroom management, career guidance, etc.
The one day Workshop commenced with the worthy Pro-Chancellor, S.Gurdeep Singh Sihra as the Chief Guest along with other dignitary on chair, Dr. AK Sehajpal, who addressed the august gathering of knowledgeable teachers with his welcome address followed by the technical session by the resource person of the day.
The Chief Guest and the Pro-Chancellor, S. Gurdeep Singh Sihra expressed, “GNA University is designed to be the leading higher education organization engaged in creating value based leaders in the Punjab state. I am really happy to witness the immense interest of the teachers in updating their learning skills to become a better citizen.”
Dr. AK Sehajpal, the eminent Professor in Management said, “21C Teaching Skills is the need of the hour and the teaching community should put their strong foot forward to acquire the necessary cognitive skills, pedagogies and learning styles spiced up with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to excel in their career.”
Ms. Vegha Sharma, the resource person eulogized, “Learning is a consistent process and we as the teachers of the current 21C should break the traditional monotony of learning skills and be the best role models for our futuristic assets. The role of technology like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning can assist in changing our career dimensions for future.”
Dr. NarendraAwasthi, the Registrar of the University in his vote of thanks said, “GNA University is always there to nurture value based leaders by organizing such workshops for enhancing the teaching skills necessary for the 21C.” He also acknowledged the presence of all the teachers from various schools and the resource person.
The Workshop culminated with the offering of the Participation Certificate to all the keen participants.
