Workshop on acting for animators organised at KMV
Jalandhar, December 2, 2019: A workshop on Acting for Animators was organised for the students of B.Voc.(Animation & VFX) and M.Voc. (Animation & VFX) at Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar. Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi inaugurated the workshop by giving a floral welcome to Mr.Anoop Sharma, a renowned artist having more than 18 years of experience in Films, TV Serials and Direction. Addressing the students, Mr.Anoop underlined the importance of learning the intricacies of acting for creating realistic Animation. During the course of 3-day workshop, the various areas like Facial Expressions, Gesture, Posture, flexibility of body, types of walks, movements & lip sync etc. were touched upon. Students also learned the intricacies of voice modulation, expressions in voice and feelings and also how to increase their observation skills and improvisation skills. Students from undergraduate as well as postgraduate courses participated in this workshop with great zeal and enthusiasm. During the end of the workshop, interactive sessions were also conducted in which students asked various questions to the resource person to which Mr. Anoop responded very clearly and satisfied the curiosity of the students. It is important to mention that KMV is the only college in the region to run both B.Voc. & M.Voc. courses in Animation & VFX. Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that these types of programs are essential for better understanding and conceptual clarity of the students & it is very important for the students to participate in such activities in order to achieve success in this competitive world. She further maintained that many students of Animation & VFX department has got outstanding placements in many renowned companies like Prime Focus, Mohali & Pritam Film Productions etc. Madam Principal also lauded the efforts of VFX & Animation department for successfully organizing such fruitful activities.
