Ludhiana, October 8, 2024: Prevention is better than cure – with this thought in mind, Horizon School of Excellence organized an informative workshop on basic first aid, accessible to everyone, from children to adults. A special team of doctors conducted the session, sharing valuable insights on emergency care.
Dr. Rajesh Mahajan (Medicine), Dr. Harpal Singh (Orthopedic) and Dr. Puneet A Pooni (Paediatrician) conducted this interactive workshop. They also provided valuable training on administering CPR in critical situations. A live demonstration of CPR made the workshop engaging and relatable for everyone. The team of doctors also shared various tips to keep children active, healthy and happy.
The School’s Principal, Mrs. Jasdeep Kaur extended a vote of thanks to the special team of doctors for sparing their precious time and equipping the students and staff with simple and the most essential life saving skills required in our day to day lives.
First aid training is designed to teach people the basic principles and techniques to provide immediate help if and when they witness a serious injury or illness.
The purpose of organising this workshop was to provide the students and teachers with the knowledge and skills to help someone in an emergency until medical professionals arrive.
