Workshop on “Full Stack Web Development” at GNA University
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering in the School of Engineering, Design and Automation in association with the Indian Society for Technical Education organized a two days’ workshop on “Full Stack Web Development” at GNA University. About 180 students of Computer science and Engineering department participated in the same.
Jalandhar, May 12, 2023: The Department of Computer Science and Engineering in the School of Engineering, Design and Automation in association with the Indian Society for Technical Education organized a two days’ workshop on “Full Stack Web Development” at GNA University. About 180 students of Computer science and Engineering department participated in the same.
This workshop was designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of full-stack web development, covering both front-end and back-end development. The trainers of the workshop were Pankaj Maurya (Python Developer and Sr trainer Python, R, Django, Full stack developer) from ShapeMySkills Pvt Ltd Noida and Mr. Ranu Mishra (Business Head - Shapemyskills Pvt Ltd Noida).
Participants got the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in developing full-stack web applications, using popular programming languages such as HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and Python –Django. They also learned to work on databases, APIs, and other essential components of web development.
Ranu Mishra gave a brief introduction about various stages in project development. He also guided students to choose one field among several fields in the IT sector. In addition to this, Mr. Pankaj Maurya covered topics related to backend development like Python and its libraries, and database connectivity of Python with Mysql. Students got hands-on practice on Back-end development and at the end of this session, Mr. Pankaj Maurya assigned some practice questions to students.
The session was proceeded with the front-end development using HTML and back-end development using Python and Django. Two students (Harkaran Singh and Mohit Pant from B-Tech (CSE) Semester-2) were selected for free internship based on their performance evaluation at an end. The major outcome of the Workshop was to inculcate awareness towards modern technologies and equipping the students with the tools of full stack development.
Gurdeep Singh Sihra, the Pro–Chancellor, GNA University appreciated the efforts of the department and congratulated Dr. Vikrant Sharma, Dean-Engineering and Dr. Anurag Sharma, Head, CSE for conducting such workshops.
Dr.VK Rattan, the Vice–Chancellor encouraged participants and said, “This is one of the emerging technologies and in demand.”
Dr. Monika Hanspal, Dean Academics interacted with participants, highlighted the significance of Front end and back end development, and said these technologies and hands-on practices make students industry ready.
