Sharma, Assistant Professor, Centre for Public Health.

Chandigarh, March 18, 2024: The Centre for Public Health, Panjab University organized a workshop on the “Importance of Vaccination and National Immunization Schedule (NIS)” on the occasion of National Vaccination Day at the Public Health Dispensary and Community Centre, Sector 25, Chandigarh under the guidance of Dr Komal Sehgal, Coordinator, Centre for Public Health and Dr Manoj K. Sharma, Assistant Professor, Centre for Public Health.
The guest of honour was Dr. Sunny Mehta, Medical Officer, Public Health Dispensary, Sector 25, Chandigarh the health talk was given by Swati Bharti and Ashrajdeep Singh, final Year students, Centre for Public Health to expectant mothers and their partners about the updated vaccination schedule for pregnant mothers and their new born and older children and myth busting on vaccines.
The workshop concluded with a question-and-answer session among the speakers and the parents, following which the speakers went door to door in the surrounding slum areas to council and educate the residents about the importance of immunization.
