The Centre of Social Work, Panjab University in collaboration with centre for Human Rights and Duties, Panjab University Chandigarh, organised a workshop on "Mental Health and well Being" at Activity Room, Centre for Social Work Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Chandigarh, December 5, 2022: The Centre of Social Work, Panjab University in collaboration with centre for Human Rights and Duties, Panjab University Chandigarh, organised a workshop on "Mental Health and well Being" at Activity Room, Centre for Social Work Panjab University, Chandigarh.
The Chairperson of the Centre for Social work, Dr Gaurav Gaur presided workshop along with Prof. Monica Munjial and chairperson of the centre for Human Rights and Duties Dr. Upneet Kaur Mangat . Dr. Gaurav Gaur welcomed the workshop facilitators by presenting them token of gratitude.
Workshop facilitators Mr. Gurpreet Singh, (Psychiatric Social Worker) and Anoop Inder Kaur (Clinical Psychologist) from Pushpanjali Trust, Chandigarh began workshop which gave brief information related to Mental Health issue. They also provide details of what is stress and physical and mental health, wellness vs Illness. Ms Anoop Inder kaur provided information related to common mental disorder and serious mental disorders. The activity was doen to analyse the stress level of the participants. The students came out with mild, moderate and sever stress. Mr Gurpreet Singh shared information related to Anxiety and its types, depression, Bipolar disorder and schizophrenia's symptom. This workshop also include practising of breathing exercise and 10 minutes of mindfulness activity. At the end, resource person provide information, which carried therapies, medicine and self-care routine for mental Health and well-being along with the volunteers drive for mental Health club, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
