The Department of Zoology in collaboration with Central Placement Cell,Panjab University, Chandigarh conducted a workshop on "Personality Development and Communication Skills" on March 20-21, 2023. The workshop was organized for graduate and postgraduate students of the department.

Chandigarh, March 21, 2023: The Department of Zoology in collaboration with Central Placement Cell,Panjab University, Chandigarh conducted a workshop on "Personality Development and Communication Skills" on March 20-21, 2023. The workshop was organized for graduate and postgraduate students of the department.
Prof. Meena Sharma, Honorary Director, Central Placement Cell, Panjab University, Chandigarh, inaugurated the event and emphasized the significance of such workshop. Subsequently, Dr. Yogesh K. Rawal, Chairperson, Department of Zoology welcomed the speakers and encouraged the students to acquire soft skills for greater career opportunities. The first session of the workshop was delivered by Ms. Sanjoli Chimni Pande, Founder, Mind and Heart Foundation. She engaged students with an inspiring discussion about meaningful values that guide our decisions and help making a powerful personality. Dr. Jayanti Dutta, Deputy Director UGC-HRDC at Panjab University, spoke about critical thinking and identity development.
In the third session, Prof. Archana R. Singh, School of Communication Skills conveyed students about effective communication for a successful life and Prof. Monika Aggarwal, UIAMS, Panjab University, explained the importance of interview skills in the last session. The students enthusiastically participated in various activities conducted during the session. In the end, Dr. Mani Chopra delivered the closing remarks with a vote of thanks.
