Jalandhar, October 29,2021: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has been constantly endeavoring for the holistic development of the staff as well as the students. In keeping with this trend, a one day workshop was organised on Public Financial Management System. The resource person for this workshop was Mr. S. Francis, Senior Accounts Officer, Ministry of Finance, Government of India. He congratulated the college authorities for being the first college of North India to organise this workshop on PFMS and thereby envisaged Kanya Maha Vidyalaya as the Nodal Centre for PFMS in the coming days. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi reiterated the fact that Kanya Maha Vidyalaya has always been the pioneer institution for all new projects and ventures. She highlighted the importance of PFMS for utilization and disbursement of different Government Grants and appreciated the efforts of Mr. S. Francis for providing hands on training on different aspects of PFMS. During the workshop, Mr Francis made very informative and interesting revelations about various aspects of PFMS like Classification of Schemes on PFMS Portal, PFMS based Fund Flow for GoI Schemes, PFMS Integration with various banks, NGOs, Stand alone government systems and government treasury. He further explained that PFMS has integrated with almost 500 Nationalised Banks, Major Private Sector Banks, All Regional Rural Banks, Cooperative Banks and India Post. He presented flow charts depicting PFMS-CBS interface, Daily Transaction Data and Account Validation Response. He explained various payment modes for live transactions and Past Payments – for legacy entries and Implementation Methodologies like REAT, TSA and SNA. He explained in detail about the newly developed expenditure related software EAT and various fund management modules. He also highlighted various schemes used by Colleges and Universities. The queries of Dr. Gopi and several other senior faculty members were addressed by the resource person in a very clear and lucid manner. Dr Sabina Batra gave a formal vote of thanks to all the participants.
