Workshop on “Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha"
Centre for Public Health, Panjab University conducted a workshop on “ Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha" in collaboration with Chandigarh Traffic Police, under the guidance of Dr. Komal Sehgal, Coordinator, Centre for Public Health, Dr. Manoj Kumar, Assistant Professor, Centre for Public Health and Dr. Hitesh Kapoor, Assistant Professor, UIET.
Chandigarh, May 1, 2024: Centre for Public Health, Panjab University conducted a workshop on “Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha" in collaboration with Chandigarh Traffic Police, under the guidance of Dr. Komal Sehgal, Coordinator, Centre for Public Health, Dr. Manoj Kumar, Assistant Professor, Centre for Public Health and Dr. Hitesh Kapoor, Assistant Professor, UIET.
The initial lecture was delivered by Dr Rajinder who emphasized the importance of Life, health, rules and wealth. The participants focused on designs and use of helmets.
Thereafter, DSP Jaswinder Singh (Chandigarh Traffic Police) enlightened the participants about the importance of following traffic rules and he gave the live demonstrations in regard to road crossing and risk involved due to earphone usage while driving. DSP Jaswinder spoke about the significance of side view mirrors in vehicles.
To conclude the session a pledge was taken to abide by the traffic rules and motivate others to do the same.
Around 60 participants attended the workshop in seminar hall of Centre for Public Health, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
