Govt Home Science college conducted an enriching workshop on startup creation and pitching up of business ideas. The workshop was organised by IEP cell in collaboration with Skill Labs. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 90 students who actively engaged in discussions aimed at nurturing entrepreneurial skills.

Chandigarh, October 9, 2024: Govt Home Science college conducted an enriching workshop on startup creation and pitching up of business ideas. The workshop was organised by IEP cell in collaboration with Skill Labs. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 90 students who actively engaged in discussions aimed at nurturing entrepreneurial skills.

The keynote speaker of the session was Mr Himesh from Skill labs,introduced the Skill to Enterprise Model (STEM), emphasizing various pre incubation facilities available for enterprise building . He highlighted the importance of identifying students with the right entrepreneurial acumen to address societal challenges.

The speaker further elaborated on the need to build capabilities, mindset, and skills amongst students to prepare them for establishing successful enterprises. He motivated the students to focus on developing practical solutions for real-world problems and current market demands. This will help them to come up with sustainable business ideas. The workshop also provided valuable insights into various job and internships assistance provided by Skill labs to students. The motivational lecture delivered during the session encouraged students to explore the path of entrepreneurship, helping them envision their potential in the startup ecosystem. 

Prof. Sudha Katyal, Principal of Government Home Science College, emphasized the importance of entrepreneurial initiatives in empowering students to contribute to societal development and economic growth. She further urged students to take advantage of such opportunities and cultivate innovative ideas for a sustainable future.
