Workshop on Sustainable Fashion & Eco-friendly Practices at GHSC-10
On fourth day of ongoing Tex Style Week Celebrations, a workshop on ‘Sustainable fashion and eco-friendly practices’ in collaboration with Pidilite, Chandigarh was organised. Students enthusiastically engaged in designing and showcasing their own eco-friendly canvas bags.
Chandigarh, September 13, 2024: On fourth day of ongoing Tex Style Week Celebrations, a workshop on ‘Sustainable fashion and eco-friendly practices’ in collaboration with Pidilite, Chandigarh was organised. Students enthusiastically engaged in designing and showcasing their own eco-friendly canvas bags. These bags were not only stylish but also a testament to the college’s commitment towards promoting sustainable practices. By opting for canvas over plastic, students actively contribute in reducing waste and motivate everyone towards opting for environmentally friendly choices.
The workshop also provided an excellent opportunity with respect to exploration of creative solutions in environmental issues while learning the importance of sustainability. Furthermore, the use of canvas bags aligns with commitment of college towards integration of eco-friendly practices into everyday life. The workshop received an overwhelming response by enthusiastic participants.
Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal encouraged the students to practice sustainability in fashion as well to save the environment and appreciated the valuable information disseminated to the students taking them a step closer towards the sustainable and eco-friendly practices.
