Workshop on theme “If Health Went Viral…”
The Centre for Public Health, Panjab University, organised a workshop in collaboration with Neerja Bhanot Hall (GH 10), on Wednesday at Neerja Bhanot Hall (GH-10) under the guidance of Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma, Chairperson, Centre for Public Health.

Chandigarh, April 17, 2025: The Centre for Public Health, Panjab University, organised a workshop in collaboration with Neerja Bhanot Hall (GH 10), on Wednesday at Neerja Bhanot Hall (GH-10) under the guidance of Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma, Chairperson, Centre for Public Health. The workshop focused on key public health themes, including cervical cancer prevention, the role of digital platforms in health promotion through the theme “If Health Went Viral…”, Understanding and raising awareness about hypertension in young adults.
The event was graced by Dr. Varinder Kaur and attended by Dr. Paravreet Kaur and Dr. Poonam Sharma, faculty at the Centre for Public Health. MPH 2nd year students Dr. Riya Atri, Dr. Rezul Gilhotra, and Dr. Muskan delivered engaging and informative talks.
The sessions emphasised the importance of early screening and HPV vaccination, highlighted the power of social media in spreading health awareness, and stressed the need for lifestyle modifications to prevent early-onset hypertension in young adults.
