Jalandhar, September 30, 2023: To commemorate the ‘World Heart Day,’ Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions, Loharan, organized a workshop on ‘Heart Health for All’ (as per the theme of World Heart Day, 2023) for the students of B.Sc. (Med Sc).
The resource person was Dr Vivek Rana, cardiologist, SSSM Multispeciality Hospital. He started the discussion with an explanation of the cardiovascular system and then elaborated upon the risk factors that affect the efficient working of heart, symptoms of heart related problems and the required actions in case of heart attack. He mainly focused on the prevention of the heart problem by monitoring diet and lifestyle. The students actively participated in the question-answer session by asking practical questions in case of heart related emergencies.
Rahul Jain, Dy Director-Schools and Colleges, Dr Gagandeep Kaur Dhanju, Officiating Incharge and HoD Mgt Dept, Nidhi Sharma, HoD Medical Sciences and the members of teaching faculty also attended the session and gained knowledge.
