Workshop on soft skills and personality development

Jalandhar, August 22, 2019: The PG Department of English at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organized one day workshop on Soft Skills and Personality Development.
The resource people of the day were Sudhir Subramani and Manjula Chatrath who have a vast experience in the field of nearly 2 decades.
Addressing the students, signifying the importance of Soft Skills, they emphasized that before becoming a good speaker, it is important to become a good listener first. They divided the students in two groups namely India and Pakistan and through a group discussion discussed the issues, effects and consequences of compromise between the two. They also inspired the students for on the spot presentation and gave them the tips to do it successfully.
Principal Dr. Sucharita Sharma putting forth her views said in any part of world or in any general situation, the correct behavioral patterns are really important to take care of. With academic and other skills, students should enhance their soft skills and work to shape their personality in a better manner. She congratulated Dr.Sunit Kaur, HOD of English and Dr.Navjot S Deol, Activity Incharge for successfully organizing the workshop.
