World Earth Day Celebrated at Home Science College
Environment Society ‘Harita’ of the college celebrated ‘World Earth Day’ on the theme “Invest in Our Planet”.

Chandigarh, April 22, 2022: Environment Society ‘Harita’ of the college celebrated ‘World Earth Day’ on the theme “Invest in Our Planet”. The event started with a pledge taking ceremony by the faculty and students of the college. Mrs. Ranjana Sharma, Convenor of Environment Society ‘Harita’ made students aware regarding different types of e-waste and informed the faculty & students about the facility of e-waste collection inside the college campus so that it can be recycled. Students were further urged to protect our planet by using eco-friendly products and also inculcate the habit of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle to keep the Earth clean and green.
Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal emphasised on the importance of segregation of waste (dry waste and wet waste) in day to day life and how it helps to make our surroundings clean in professional as well as personal spaces.
