World Earth Day celebrated by organizing webinar “Restore Our Earth” by Mayank Foundation

A Webinar on "Restore our Earth" was organised on the occasion of most important day of our mother earth "World Earth Day" by Mayank Foundation Ferozepur under the patronage of Punjab State Council of Science and Technology.
 
The Keynote address was delivered by Speaker Dr. K S Bath, Joint Director PSCS&T followed by two Resource persons Dr. Vandana Naithani (AP IKG PTU) and Dr. Satinder Singh (President AGREED Foundation and Principal GSSS Gatti Rajo Ke). Dr Gazal Preet Arneja, Professor Mechanical Engg Deptt. hosted the entire proceedings of Webinar. The participants of this Webinar was mixed audience of students, social workers, environmentalists, teaching fraternity from Punjab Govt. Schools.
 
Dr. K. S. Bath, Joint Director, Punjab state council of science & Technology in his key note address emphasized on the need of organizing such environmental related webinars and stressed that diversify, educate and activate are key to the success of environmental movement worldwide.
 
Dr. Vandana Naithani (AP IKG PTU), emphasized that our earth is facing many serious environmental issues. The only possibility to bring about change and save our mother earth is to understand and take self responsibility for saving Mother Earth. You can yourself contribute to conserve the planet by planting more trees, usage of carry bags during shopping, spreading awareness by organising programs, recycling things that can be reused, etc. 
 
Dr. Satinder Singh (President AGREED Foundation and Principal GSSS Gatti Rajo Ke) stressed that COVID outbreak has shown us the red flag pointing to an imbalance in our natural systems. It is a sign of a planet in disharmony. So, there is only one way forward—restoring what is lost to bring back a sense of equilibrium.
 
All these three sessions were very interactive and enthused the interest of participants. Various participants came up with queries.
 
Dr. Gazal Preet Arneja, paid heartfelt thanks to Madam Jatinder Kaur Arora, Executive Director and Dr. K. S. Bath, Joint Director, Punjab state council of science & Technology for lending a helping hand and tireless support for conduct of this Webinar. He said with the active support of Punjab state council of science & Technology Mayank Foundation will organize various activities oriented towards Clean and Green Earth. In the end he thanked all the participants for patient and attentive listening and participating and raising doubts after each session.
