World Earth Day celebrated by Pavilion Mall in collaboration with Ludhiana Municipal Corporation
100 Trees planted at 100 feet road SBS Nagar; to be looked after by the Mall till fully grown
Ludhiana: Celebrating World Earth Day today, Ludhiana's premium mall Pavilion Mall joined hands with the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation and planted over a 100-trees on the 100 Feet Road, SBS Nagar on April 22. Trees like Jamun, Neem, Teak and Jacaranda were planted and a pledge has been taken to look after them till they are dully grown. The plantation drive was conducted here in consultation with the Municipal Corporation due to lack of tree cover in the area.
Lauding the efforts of the mall in this regard, Zonal Commissioner Ludhiana Municipal Corporation Jasdev Singh Sekhon, said, “We hope this sets an example for other corporate houses to also come forward and plant trees to ensure that Ludhiana city has more green cover. Trees like peepal, neem etc give shade, greenery and oxygen. Citizens should plant more such trees in and around their homes and not opt for ornamental trees.”
Pavilion Mall has always strived to work towards the betterment of the and its people and has been conducting such socially responsible initiatives on a regular basis.
In addition to Sekhon planting the first tree, trees were planted by employees of the mall and staff of the retail brands present in the mall.

Apart from this the Mall was in the news recently for organising a free Covid Vaccination Camp for its customers in collaboration with DMC & Hospital, wherein almost 700 patrons were vaccinated.
