World Health Day 2023 celebrated at Urban Health Center, Shimlapuri 

The world health day 2023 was celebrated at Urban Health Center, Shimlapuri by the Department of Community Health Nursing of DMCH College of Nursing, Ludhiana. The programme was started with a formal welcome of Principal Dr Triza Jiwan, dignitaries and local community people by Meenakshi, Associate Professor.

The unfolding of the theme “Health for All” was done by Prof. Sandeep kaur, She emphasized that health for all envisions that all people have good health for a fulfilling life in a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world. Dr. Triza Jiwan in her address to the audience said 75th anniversary of World Health Organisation is an opportunity to motivate action to tackle the health challenges of today and tomorrow.

Beside this students of B. Sc Nursing 4th year enacted a role play on unhealthy lifestyle and its impact on health, students also displayed the charts for awareness of general population on topics of healthy eating habits, mental health, healthy environment, communicable diseases and non communicable diseases. Health assessment stations of BMI and Visual acuity for the general population were organized. The programme was concluded with vote of thanks by Rinky Masih Senior Nursing tutor.
