World Kidney Day observed at DMCH
Ludhiana, March 14, 2019: ‘World Kidney Day’ was observed today in OPD Block of Dayanand Medical College & Hospital (DMCH), Ludhiana. The day was observed by Departments of Urology, Nephrology and Transplant. Secretary of DMCH Managing Society-Sh Prem Kumar Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion along with Principal Dr Sandeep Puri, Dean Academics Dr Medical Supdts Dr Sandeep Sharma (Profesor & Head of Urology) and Dr Ashwani Chaudhary . Also present, on the occasion were faculty members from the Department of Nephrology including Dr Vikas Makkar (Professor & Head of Neurology), Dr PM Sohal, Dr Suman Seth and Dr Simran Kaur. Students from College of Nursing made posters depicting ‘causes of kidney diseases’ and ‘precautionary measures’ to be adopted to prevent the kidney diseases. The students also presented a role play depicting a list of preventive measures to be adopted in keeping a check on ‘kidney diseases’. Secretary Sh Prem Kumar Gupta said that DMCH, as an institution, has always been creating awareness among the public to take precautionary measures to prevent kidney diseases. Principal Dr Sandeep Puri lauded the role of all the respective department in organizing WORLD KIDNEY DAY and said that the theme of ‘World Kidney Day’ this year is “Kidney Health for Everyone Everywhere” which stress on keeping adequate care of kidneys. Dr Vikas Makkar proposed a vote of thanks to all those present on the occasion and said ‘Kidneys’ are one of the most important organ of human body and keeping physically fit.ehing healthy food and keeping blood sugar level under control, your blood pressure.
