World no tobacco day was celebrated in DMCH College of Nursing, on 31st May by the Department of Community Health Nursing under the guidance of Principal Dr Triza Jiwan.
Ludhiana, June 2, 2023: World no tobacco day was celebrated in DMCH College of Nursing, on 31st May by the Department of Community Health Nursing under the guidance of Principal Dr Triza Jiwan.
The programme was started with prayer song by students of B.Sc. Nursing 4th year. Followed by lamp lighting ceremony by Principal and faculty of college. The Unfolding of theme “We need Food Not Tobacco” was done by Prof. Sandeep kaur. Beside this, students of B.Sc. Nursing 4th year enacted a role play on devastating effects of tobacco among young population, students also displayed posters on adverse effects of tobacco on health and promotion of tobacco free lifestyle. Health assessment stations were also set up for the workers by students. Principal in her address to audience said by quitting smoking tobacco and adopting a healthy lifestyle, individuals can improve their health and wellbeing.
The programme was concluded with vote of thanks by Damandeep Kaur, student of B.Sc. Nursing 4th year.
