World Orthodontic Health Day (WOHD) Celebrations at Panjab University Dental Institute

Chandigarh, May 15, 2019: Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics of Dr Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital organized Creative Writing Competition’ to mark the occasion of World Orthodontic Health Day (WOHD) on 15th may.
Every year 15th may is celebrated as WOHD to marks the signing of the World Federation of Orthodontist’s (WFO) charter in 1995 during the 4th International Orthodontic Congress® in San Francisco. World Orthodontic Health Day is designed to tie the WFO’s past and future together. The following were the result of the competition:

Consolation Prizes: Iqbal Singh, Davinder Kumar
The winner and consolation prize winner of the Creative Writing Competition will now be provided free of Cost (No Hospital charges) and immediate orthodontic treatment respectively. The consolation prize winners will be provided immediate orthodontic treatment. It is pertinent to mention that for orthodontic treatment there is a long waiting list and the above prize winner will be immediately taken for treatment without waiting. The department of orthodontics has last year also conducted the Painting competition to mark the occasion of World Orthodontic Health Day (WOHD). The department plan to conduct this kind of competition every year on 15th May so as to make people aware about orthodontic Health.
