World Water Day celebrated by NSS, PU

Chandigarh, March 23, 2022: World Water Day, held on 22 March every year since 1993, focuses on the importance of freshwater. World Water Day was Celebrated by NSS in association with University School of Open Learning and Institute of Social Science Education and Research, Panjab University Chandigarh under the leadership of Dr. Richa Sharma, NSS, PO, Panjab University. A core focus of World Water Day is to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 6: water and sanitation for all by 2030. On this occasion of World Water Day poster making, face painting, slogan writing competition were organized. On the spot topics were given to participants. These competitions were based on the theme of water conservation. Students raise awareness and given a message to society about water conservation through their creativity. Prof. Madhurima Verma Chairperson, Prof. Neeru, Prof. Geeta Bansal, Dr. Jeesu Jaskanwar Singh were the judges for these events in which NSS Volunteers participated with enthusiasm.
