Yadavindra Public School Celebrates Silver Jubilee with Alumni
A wave of nostalgia swept through the hallowed halls of Yadavindra Public School, Mohali, as the campus welcomed back its distinguished alumni from the batches of ICSE 1996, ICSE 1998, and ISC 1998. The occasion marked the Silver Jubilee Celebration, where more than 70 former students, now settled across the globe, revisited their cherished alma mater alongside their spouses and children.
Chandigarh, December 27, 2023: A wave of nostalgia swept through the hallowed halls of Yadavindra Public School, Mohali, as the campus welcomed back its distinguished alumni from the batches of ICSE 1996, ICSE 1998, and ISC 1998. The occasion marked the Silver Jubilee Celebration, where more than 70 former students, now settled across the globe, revisited their cherished alma mater alongside their spouses and children.
Inderjeet Singh, President of the Old Yadavindrians Association, expressed his gratitude to the alumni for their unwavering support of the association. He remarked, "The reunion was not just a celebration of the past but a testament to the enduring spirit and unity of the Yadavindra Public School family. We are immensely proud of our alumni and their achievements."
The two-day pilgrimage featured spirited cricket, basketball, and tennis matches played on the familiar grounds, rekindling the camaraderie between the current students and the alumni. The cricket match saw the ex-students emerge victorious; the present students bagged the win in the games of tennis and basketball.
In a special evening event, the Old Yadavindrians Association (OYA) honoured the ICSE 1996, ICSE 1998, and ISC 1998 batches at the OYA Winterball 2023 held at Opulence, Zirakpur. The Director of the School, Maj. Gen. TPS Warraich (VSM) (Retd), presented the batches with accolades. The dinner, attended by present school faculty, former teachers, and retired educators who taught the classes of 1996, 1998, and 1998, witnessed a heartwarming gathering.
During their visit, the returning alumni walked down memory lane, pointing out their once-familiar benches to their children as they visited classrooms. Upholding a tradition, the Silver Jubilee batch planted a sapling on the campus, symbolising the enduring bond between them and their beloved alma mater.
The event served as a testament to the strong bonds forged within the Yadavindra Public School community and the enduring legacy of excellence that the institution imparts to its students.
