YAI Monsoon Regatta: Bhopal Sailors showed their all-round performance at Regatta

Hyderabad, July 16, 2022: Despite being land locked Bhopal seems to produce the largest number of good sailors across years. The year at the Monsoon Regatta the gold silver and bronze went to Bhopal.
Shashank Batham won the gold by last the SH Babu Memorial Trophy for best sailor without a discard to compatriot Eklavya Batham.
Divyanshi Mishra of Bhopal clinched the Girls gold distantly followed by Telangana’s Tanuja Kameshwar at silver and Shagun Jha at Bronze.
Tanuja Kameshwar suffered from multiple capsizes leaving her far behind Divyanshi who scored two first in the last two races.
There is one protest pending against Divyanshi Mishra from Aakash Tangai but that is unlikely to change any final positions.
The racing was close on the last day with two races sailed back to back.
The prize giving is at 430 PM and Shri CV Anand , IPS, Commissioner of Police himself an avid sportsperson will grace the occasion as Chief Guest.

Four of our young sailors from Hyderabad will be leaving for an International at Korea this evening for the Beyorong ASAF International Cub
