The 10th International Yoga Day was celebrated in Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya today. On this occasion, yogic activities and yoga asanas were performed under the Common Yoga Protocol. The celebrations highlighted this year's theme 'Yoga for Self and Society'.

On this occasion, yogic activities and yoga asanas were performed under the Common Yoga Protocol. The celebrations highlighted this year's theme 'Yoga for Self and Society'.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Sudesh attended the program as Chief Guest and highlighted the importance of yoga in life. VC Prof. Sudesh said that this year's theme emphasizes the yoga's vital role in fostering both individual well-being and societal harmony. She said that yoga has been a part of our Vedic tradition and daily routine since ancient times. But the credit for giving international fame to yoga goes to PM Narendra Modi.
VC Prof. Sudesh said that yoga is a way of life. Describing yoga as helpful in stress control and keeping the mind stable, the Vice Chancellor called upon the attendees to make yoga a part of their daily routine.
Yoga Instructor Dr Kuldeep and Manita conducted the Yoga Protocol. Dr. Veena Agarwal gave the welcome speech. Officiating Registrar Prof. Shweta Singh, Director Sports Dr. Suman Dalal, Assistant Registrar Rajesh Narwal, university staff and students also participated in this program organized by the DSW Office and Department of Physical Education.
