Chandigarh, November 16, 2022: To encourage the budding speakers of the college and to hone their public speaking skills, Government Home Science College organised Young Radio Scouting Event in collaboration with All India Radio, Chandigarh on the campus today.
The theme of the event was based on the mindset and thoughts of youngsters on 75 years of India’s Independence.
The topics for the event included My Dream India, The New, Make in India-Skill India, Youth Icons & Role Models, Indian Values & Ethos and India Ahead. Sanjeev Dosanjh, Programme Director of All India Radio & Doordarshan, Chandigarh, Ritu Sandhu Programme Executive, AIR Chandigarh, Surinder Pal, Programme Executive and Nayeem Ahmed, Engineer, AIR Chandigarh were the dignitaries present for the event.
Livjot kaur of BSC Hsc 2nd year bagged 1st position, Vaani of BSC Hsc 2nd year bagged 2nd position and the third position was bagged by Aarti of MSc Hdfr 1st year. The event will be aired on Saturday. Livjot Kaur will further be representing the college at state level.
Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal, congratulated them on their achievement and motivated them to take their talent to a new level for recognition at greater heights.
