Youth festival provide platform to youngsters

Ludhiana, August 10, 2019: Meeting of Principal and Contingent In-charge of Panjab University Youth and Heritage Festival Ludhiana Zone-A held in the office of Director PURC, Ludhiana regarding organizing the Panjab University Youth Festival for the year, 2019.

Prof.Ravi Inder Singh, Director PURC, Ludhiana extended welcome to all the Principals and Contingent In charges.

Prof.(Dr.) Nirmal Jaura Director, P.U Youth Welfare, presided over the meeting and apprised all the members regarding organizing the Youth Fest of Zone Ludhiana-A.

Prof.Nirmal Jaura while addressing the members said that events like Youth Festival provide platform to youngsters to showcase their talent and help in their overall development. He said members of colleges must come ahead to organize the event. It was decided to hold¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬ this year’s Youth Festival at Mata Ganga Khalsa College Kottan, Ludhiana.

Dr.Kuldeep Kaur Dhaliwal, Principal of Mata Ganga Khalsa College, Kottan will be the convenor of the festival. This year a total of 64 items representing music, theatre, dance, heritage and literary activities will be part of the event. A new item of hand writing competition has been introduced this year, participants can showcase their writing skills without any language barrier in this activity.

More than 2000 students from 17 colleges will participate in this festival.

Dr.Neena Seth Pajni, Principal, Gobindgarh Public College, Alour, extended thanks to the Director and Staff of PURC, Ludhiana for hosting the meeting.
