Jalandhar, March 16, 2015: During the annual prize distribution ceremony of the Student Welfare Department of DAV College Jalandhar, Indrajit Singh quoted "Youth should become goal oriented from now onwads only". Student Welfare Department of DAV College organised annual prize distribution ceremony.  Indrajit Singh Dhami, Assistant Director - Youth Services, Punjab, presided over as the chief guest of the function and were given a floral welcome by the principal Dr. BB Sharma, Prof. Ashok Kapoor (Dean, Students Welfare), prof. Anoop vats & prof. Sharad manocha. Principal dr. BB Sharma in his welcome speech told that Indrajit Singh is a hard working and a responsible person & has his roots devoted for the welfare of the youth.

Dhami in his speech stated that youth is the future of the nation hence it should understand its responsibilities and duties from the very moment. He added that youth needs to be career oriented and should make restless efforts to achieve their respective goals.

Department's annual report was presented by Prof Ashok Kapoor, Dean Students Welfare. He told that resolving the grievances of the youth is the ultimate motive of the department.

During the function, Kritika Chopra gave a dance performance whereas Hriday kept the spectators glued to their seats with his mesmerising singing performance.  Moreover, Manik also presented a cultural dance performance. And finally awards were distributed by the principal and the chief guest to Rajat Sharma (Convenor Boys), Aafiya Aslam (Convenor Girls) and to other members.

The function also had the presence of Prof. JK Sharma, Prof. Arun Mehra, Prof. Vijay Gupta, Prof. Pankaj Gupta, Prof Anoop Vats, Prof. Sharad Manocha, Prof. Sanjeev Sharma, Prof. Ram Kumar, & Prof. Sandeep Marwaha.
