Yuva Sangam Jharkhand student delegates week-long exposure visit to Punjab concludes on a high note in Chandigarh
The week-long exposure visit of Jharkhand students to Punjab, organized under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Yuva Sangam Programme, concluded successfully on March 14 at Chandigarh. Managed by the Central University of Punjab, under the patronage of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, the visit aimed at fostering cultural exchange and strengthening bonds between the youth of different states.
Bathinda, March 15, 2024: The week-long exposure visit of Jharkhand students to Punjab, organized under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Yuva Sangam Programme, concluded successfully on March 14 at Chandigarh. Managed by the Central University of Punjab, under the patronage of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, the visit aimed at fostering cultural exchange and strengthening bonds between the youth of different states.
Throughout the visit, the delegates from Jharkhand explored various iconic sites across Punjab, including Bathinda, Firozpur, Amritsar, Patiala, and Chandigarh. On the final day, a group of 51 enthusiastic students, along with coordinators from IIM Ranchi and Central University of Punjab, had the honor of meeting with the Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, at the Punjab Raj Bhawan.
Governor Banwari Lal Purohit emphasized the significance of the Yuva Sangam Programme, aligning it with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's flagship initiative, Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. He urged the students to embrace values of simplicity, integrity, and selflessness, while striving towards the collective goal of a developed India by 2047.
The valedictory ceremony, held at NITTTR Chandigarh, was graced by Prof. Bhola Ram Gurjar, Director of the institute, who commended the program for enhancing the cultural understanding between Jharkhand and Punjab's youth.
Prof. Sanjeev Thakur, Nodal Officer of Central University of Punjab, highlighted the comprehensive exposure provided to the students, encompassing tourism, traditions, development, technology, and people-to-people connect of Punjab.
Dr. Prashant Maurya, Coordinator from IIM Ranchi, expressed the students' delight in learning about Sikh history, art, and Punjab's rich heritage.
The Jharkhand student delegates extended their gratitude to the Government of India, Central University of Punjab, NITTTR Chandigarh, and other departments for their warm hospitality. As they departed from Chandigarh on March 14th, 2024, they carried with them fond memories and a deeper appreciation for the cultural tapestry of Punjab.
