Comedian and actor Zakir Khan spoke about the simple mantra one should abide by in life at Sahitya AajTak 2022 on November 20. In a session titled Bahut Nainsafi Hai, Khan talked about dating tips, the cons of social media and the perks of being a good listener.
While speaking about the impact of social media on the youth, Zakir Khan pointed out, “Knowledge doesn’t matter anymore because everything is accessible. That’s why, right now, the education that is being imparted should be focused on topics that can make a person a good human being. A person is not defined by age. A 21-year-old can be an uncle and a 50-year-old can be a young person by heart.”
Speaking about heartbreak and the famous adjective of ‘Sakht Launda’ being assigned to him, Khan said, “A person has to give in and melt numerous times before developing a strong personality. They need to go through a lot of hurdles to be stoic, rational and reasonable. Heartbreaks only make a human being.”
Amid a lot of cheer, Zakir Khan showcased his humorous side and imparted some knowledge about dating. He said, “One’s life mantra should simply be ‘Hmm, Achha, Thik Hai’. If you just simply listen to the woman, you will be ahead of many men. Sometimes, women just need somebody to listen to. Even your marriage will be a happy one because of this one mantra.”
When asked about the issues faced by young people who are invested in social media, Zakir Khan spoke about depression and the need to be nice to each other. “People should understand that writing hurtful things affects the other person, just keep one thing in mind. If you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything at all. Social media is filled with useless people, so you can’t go and reason with everyone.
