Zee Punjabi successfully completes 1 year

Chandigarh: Zee Punjabi has successfully completed one year on the auspicious occasion of Lohri. As the channel celebrates its first anniversary in the land of people with Vadde Vadde Sapne, it has managed to carve its special place in Punjabi hearts. From becoming the number 1 channel of Punjab in 11th week of its launch to dominating the list of TOP 5 shows, Zee Punjabi started on a positive note.

Zee Punjabi has tried to speak to the punjabi audiences through a variety of emotions ranging from comedy in Haaseyan Da Halla, a family entertainer in Khasma Nu Khani and the quintessential romantic at heart in Kamli Ishq Di.

Commenting on the success of the channel in Punjab, Rahul Rao, Business Head Zee Punjabi says, "As the first Punjabi GEC channel, we had our task cut out. We express gratitude to the audiences who showed faith in us and gave us all the love. Now that we have tapped the pulse of the Punjabi audiences, we are encouraged to spread our reach and bring in more shows. In tandem, we are all set to launch more shows across varied entertainment categories."

Taking inspiration from its hitherto success, Zee Punjabi is going all out to widen the genres of its shows. Starting with celebrity chat show in Dil Diyan Gallan with Punjab’s leading actress Sonam Bajwa, another touching story rooted in the faith of Punjabis in Maavan Thandiyan Chaawan and is also set to spread cheer to the musical passions that run high in the state through its widely acclaimed show, Antakshari, hosted by Master Saleem and Mannat Noor.
